Sue Jardin’s passion is to examine the wear and tear of nature and humans as they leave traces of their passage. She loves to gather generally unnoticed patches of scratches, corrosion, rust, nicks, dents, holes and tears in materials and objects that may also be (dis)coloured and shaped from weathering and the incidental and accidental marks of people now moved on. Equally important are the images created in nature’s cycle of decay as they also illustrate the passing of time. Sue’s work enlarges these often very small but intensely rich images to a point where the texture and the colour can easily be seen and appreciated in a more comfortable setting. |
